Sefer Yetzirah
Jewish mystical treatise
Sefer Yetzirah, Hebrew for "Book of Creation" or "Book of Formation," is one of the earliest and most influential texts in Jewish mysticism.
Dating from somewhere between the 2nd and 6th centuries CE, it presents a cosmological system explaining how God created the universe through the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet and the ten sefirot (divine emanations or numbers).
The brief, cryptic text became foundational for Kabbalah and has inspired centuries of commentary and interpretation.
