Santa photos
Seasonal lap pictures
Santa photos are pictures of children (and sometimes pets or adults) sitting with a person dressed as Santa Claus, typically taken at shopping malls, department stores, or holiday events during the Christmas season.
The tradition serves as both a commercial attraction and a family keepsake: We're taking the kids for their Santa photos this weekend.
The resulting images often capture memorable moments of wonder, tears, or awkward facial expressions.
