Ryan Murphy

Ryan Murphy is an American television producer, writer, and director known for creating stylized, often provocative series spanning horror, drama, and anthology formats.

His shows—including *Nip/Tuck*, *Glee*, *American Horror Story*, and *Pose*—frequently feature LGBTQ+ characters and storylines.

Murphy's name has become shorthand for a particular aesthetic: glossy, campy, and melodramatic.

It's very Ryan Murphy—beautiful people doing terrible things.
