Russian intelligence

Moscow's spy services

Russian intelligence refers to the espionage and security agencies of Russia, particularly the FSB (domestic security) and SVR (foreign intelligence), successors to the Soviet KGB.

The term appears frequently in discussions of election interference, cyberattacks, and poisonings of defectors: Russian intelligence operatives were implicated in the attack.

It can also mean information gathered by these agencies.
