Phone-scan transaction method
QR code payment is a transaction method where a buyer scans a square barcode with a smartphone to transfer money.
The customer either scans a merchant's code or displays their own code to be scanned.
Common in Asia and increasingly elsewhere, it bypasses the need for cash or physical cards: The street vendor only accepted QR code payment.
