Nubian knots
Twisted hair buns
Nubian knots are a hairstyle in which sections of hair are twisted into small, tight coils that stand up from the scalp, creating a pattern of knot-like formations across the head.
The style works best with natural Black hair and requires no pins or bands—the hair's texture holds the shape.
Also called Bantu knots, though Nubian emphasizes connection to ancient African cultures: She wore Nubian knots to the festival.
