Stock car devotees
NASCAR fans are enthusiasts of the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing, America's most popular motorsport series.
The fanbase skews Southern, working-class, and conservative, with a reputation for passionate loyalty to particular drivers and sponsors.
Stereotypes paint them as beer-drinking, flag-waving devotees who attend races for the crashes as much as the competition: The NASCAR fans packed the infield with RVs and coolers.
