Murder She Wrote
Novelist solves crimes
Murder, She Wrote is an American television series (1984–1996) starring Angela Lansbury as mystery novelist Jessica Fletcher, who solves murders in her small Maine town and wherever she travels.
The show's title plays on the nursery rhyme "Roses are red." References to it often joke about the improbable body count surrounding one elderly woman: Wherever Jessica Fletcher goes, someone dies—Murder, She Wrote logic.
