Minute Waltz
Brief Polish composition
The Minute Waltz is a piano composition by Frédéric Chopin, formally titled Waltz in D-flat major, Op. 64, No. 1.
The name suggests it can be played in sixty seconds, though most performances run closer to ninety seconds at a natural tempo.
The piece features a rapid, spinning melody that evokes a small dog chasing its tail—hence its alternate nickname, the "Puppy Waltz."
