Louvre Palace
French royal residence
The Louvre Palace is a former royal residence in Paris that now houses one of the world's largest and most visited art museums.
The complex evolved over eight centuries from a medieval fortress to an expansive palace along the Seine.
Its glass pyramid entrance, added in 1989, has become iconic.
We spent three days at the Louvre and barely scratched the surface.
