Silver cryptocurrency alternative
Litecoin is a cryptocurrency created in 2011 as a faster, lighter alternative to Bitcoin—hence the name.
It uses similar blockchain technology but processes transactions more quickly.
Like other cryptocurrencies, Litecoin can be mined, traded, or used for payments: I converted some Bitcoin to Litecoin.
Its currency symbol is LTC.
