Kings Road

London shopping street

Kings Road is a major street in Chelsea, London, famous as a center of British fashion and counterculture, particularly during the 1960s and punk era of the 1970s.

Mary Quant's boutique and Vivienne Westwood's shop SEX both operated there.

The name has become shorthand for a certain strain of British style rebellion: the Kings Road look, Kings Road punk.
