Indianize
Give subcontinental character
To Indianize is to make Indian in character, form, or culture.
The term applies differently depending on context: adapting foreign products or practices to suit Indian tastes and conditions McDonald's Indianized its menu with vegetarian options, or historically, replacing British colonial administrators with Indian personnel.
In American contexts, the older sense meant to adopt Native American ways or influence something with indigenous culture, though this usage has faded.
