Hebrew months
Lunar calendar divisions
The Hebrew calendar uses twelve lunar months, with a thirteenth added in leap years to align with solar seasons.
The months are Nisan, Iyar, Sivan, Tammuz, Av, Elul, Tishrei, Cheshvan, Kislev, Tevet, Shevat, and Adar.
Jewish holidays fall on fixed dates within this system: Passover begins on 15 Nisan, Rosh Hashanah on 1 Tishrei.
The wedding is set for the month of Elul.
