HEPA filters
Particle-trapping screens
HEPA filters are high-efficiency particulate air filters designed to capture extremely fine particles—dust, pollen, mold spores, bacteria, and some viruses.
The standard requires trapping at least 99.97% of particles 0.3 microns or larger.
They're used in hospitals, cleanrooms, vacuum cleaners, and air purifiers: The allergist recommended a HEPA filter for the bedroom.
