HEPA filtration
Traps airborne particles
HEPA filtration is an air-cleaning technology that captures extremely small particles—dust, pollen, mold spores, bacteria, and some viruses.
HEPA stands for High Efficiency Particulate Air, and filters meeting the standard must trap at least 99.97% of particles 0.3 microns in diameter.
The technology appears in vacuum cleaners, air purifiers, hospital ventilation systems, and cleanrooms: The allergist recommended an air purifier with HEPA filtration.
