Grey Worm is a fictional character from George R.R.
Martin's *A Song of Ice and Fire* novels and the HBO series *Game of Thrones*—a warrior of the Unsullied, an elite corps of eunuch slave-soldiers trained from childhood in the city of Astapor.
He becomes commander of the Unsullied after Daenerys Targaryen frees them.
The name, like all Unsullied names, was assigned to dehumanize: slaves received new degrading names daily until one brought them luck in battle.
