French pop
Parisian radio fare
French pop is popular music from France or in the French language, blending international pop conventions with distinctly Gallic sensibilities—often characterized by melodic sophistication, literary lyrics, and a certain romantic or melancholic quality.
The tradition runs from chanson through yé-yé to contemporary artists: I've been listening to a lot of French pop lately.
