Force choke
Distant throat crushing
Force choke is a fictional telekinetic attack from the Star Wars universe in which someone uses the Force to strangle a victim from a distance, typically with a clenching hand gesture.
The image of Darth Vader force-choking subordinates who displease him has become iconic: He found the officer's lack of faith disturbing.
The term extends to joking threats or descriptions of remote intimidation: My boss basically force-choked me over Zoom.
