First Minister
Scotland's top politician
First Minister is the title of the head of government in Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland—the devolved administrations within the United Kingdom.
The role parallels that of Prime Minister but operates within a regional legislature: The First Minister addressed the Scottish Parliament.
The title is also used in some Canadian provinces and Australian states for the premier.
