Downloadable content
Post-launch game additions
Downloadable content refers to additional material for video games or software distributed digitally after the original release.
Often abbreviated DLC, it includes new levels, characters, storylines, or cosmetic items: The expansion pack is available as downloadable content.
Some downloadable content is free; other offerings require purchase, sometimes controversially.
