Dad's Army
British wartime sitcom
Dad's Army is a British television sitcom (1968–1977) about the Home Guard during World War II—older men too old for regular military service defending Britain against potential German invasion.
The term now describes any group of aging, amateurish, or bumbling defenders: The security team was a Dad's Army of retired cops.
