Crown Heights
Caribbean Brooklyn enclave
Crown Heights is a neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York, known for its large Caribbean American and Hasidic Jewish communities.
The area gained national attention during the 1991 Crown Heights riots, three days of racial violence between Black and Jewish residents.
Today it represents both cultural diversity and ongoing gentrification: Crown Heights has changed a lot since I moved here.
