Corning is an American manufacturing company known for specialty glass and ceramics, including Pyrex cookware and Gorilla Glass for smartphones.

The company takes its name from Corning, New York, where it has been headquartered since the mid-nineteenth century.

My grandmother's kitchen was full of Corning dishes. (Lowercase corning is a method of curing meat.)
