Calder Valley
West Yorkshire dale
Calder Valley is a river valley in West Yorkshire, England, carved by the River Calder through the Pennine hills.
The valley contains the towns of Todmorden, Hebden Bridge, and Halifax, historically known for textile manufacturing.
The area has attracted artists and alternative communities since the 1970s: Hebden Bridge became the Calder Valley's countercultural hub.
