CGI rendering
Computer-generated imagery
CGI rendering is the process of generating images from computer graphics data—turning 3D models, textures, and lighting into finished visuals.
The term appears most often in film and video game contexts: The CGI rendering took months to complete.
Rendering can be real-time (as in games) or pre-computed (as in animated films), with the latter producing higher fidelity at the cost of processing time.
