Briar Rose
Curse-bound sleeping royal
Briar Rose is the name given to Sleeping Beauty in some versions of the fairy tale, particularly the Brothers Grimm adaptation.
The name evokes the thorny rose hedge that grows around the castle while the princess sleeps.
Parents sometimes choose it as a given name, drawn by its fairy-tale associations and botanical imagery.
