Audi Quattro

Legendary rally sedan

The Audi Quattro was a high-performance sports car produced by the German automaker Audi from 1980 to 1991, revolutionary for bringing permanent all-wheel drive to rally racing and production vehicles.

The name Quattro (Italian for "four") now designates Audi's all-wheel-drive system across its lineup: I got the Quattro for better traction in winter.

The original car dominated rally competition and established all-wheel drive as a performance feature rather than merely a utility for rough terrain.
