Arctic wolves
Polar pack hunters
Arctic wolves are a subspecies of gray wolf native to the Canadian Arctic islands and northern Greenland.
Their white or cream-colored coats provide camouflage in snow and ice.
Smaller than other gray wolves, they hunt muskoxen, Arctic hares, and caribou in one of Earth's harshest environments: Arctic wolves can survive temperatures of minus forty degrees.
