All-Star Weekend
NBA midseason showcase
All-Star Weekend is an annual event in professional sports leagues—most notably the NBA—featuring exhibition games and competitions showcasing the season's best players.
The centerpiece is the All-Star Game itself, but the weekend typically includes skills challenges, slam dunk contests, and three-point shooting competitions: We're flying to Indianapolis for All-Star Weekend.
The phrase has spread to other leagues and contexts where top performers gather for showcase events.
