2.4 GHz
Common WiFi band
2.4 GHz is a radio frequency band used for wireless communication, most commonly for Wi-Fi networks, Bluetooth devices, cordless phones, and microwave ovens.
The band is crowded because so many devices share it, which can cause interference: The 2.4 GHz network is slower but has better range than 5 GHz.
The designation refers to 2.4 gigahertz—2.4 billion cycles per second.
