women's auxiliary
Ladies' volunteer branch
A women's auxiliary is a support organization composed of women, typically affiliated with a larger institution such as a military branch, veterans' group, church, or fraternal lodge.
These groups traditionally handled charitable work, fundraising, and social activities while the main organization was restricted to men: She joined the women's auxiliary of the American Legion.
The term has an old-fashioned feel as gender-segregated membership has declined.
