witness sketch
Eyewitness-described criminal drawing
A witness sketch is a drawing of a suspect's face created from an eyewitness's description, typically produced by a police sketch artist during a criminal investigation.
The witness describes features—nose shape, jawline, eye spacing—while the artist renders them into a composite image: Police released a witness sketch of the man seen fleeing the scene.
Also called a composite sketch or police sketch.
