A warming oven is a low-temperature oven or oven compartment designed to keep cooked food warm until serving, rather than to cook it.
Many kitchen ranges include a warming drawer below the main oven: She kept the rolls in the warming oven while the turkey rested.
The term also applies to commercial equipment in restaurants that holds prepared dishes at serving temperature.
