victory party
Triumph celebration event
A victory party is a celebration held after winning—an election, a championship, a war, a court case.
The term implies gathering to mark a decisive outcome: The campaign staff threw a victory party at headquarters.
Premature victory parties have become cautionary tales in politics when projected wins evaporate.
