vibrating alert

A vibrating alert is a notification that uses physical vibration rather than sound—the buzz of a phone in your pocket, a smartwatch pulse on your wrist.

The feature allows devices to signal incoming calls, messages, or reminders without disturbing others: I keep my phone on vibrating alert during meetings.
