Clinic animal assistants
Vet techs are veterinary technicians—trained professionals who assist veterinarians with animal care.
They perform many of the same functions nurses do in human medicine: taking vital signs, administering medications, preparing animals for surgery, and running lab tests.
The vet techs drew blood and ran the panel while we waited.
Most states require certification or licensure.
