vapour lock
Boiled fuel problem
Vapour lock is a disruption in fuel flow when liquid fuel vaporizes in the fuel line or pump, creating gas bubbles that block the system.
It occurs in internal combustion engines, especially in hot weather or at high altitude, causing the engine to stall or run rough.
The spelling vapor lock is standard in American English.
