vacillations
Back and forth doubts
Vacillations are instances of wavering between different positions or courses of action.
The word implies indecisiveness that goes back and forth rather than settling: His vacillations on the issue frustrated everyone.
Someone prone to vacillation swings between options without committing, often to the exasperation of those waiting for a decision.
