Unsulphurized describes food, especially dried fruit, that has not been treated with sulfur dioxide or sulfites as a preservative.
Unsulphurized dried apricots are darker and chewier than their bright orange, sulfur-treated counterparts: I prefer unsulphurized raisins because they're more natural.
