unnamed
Left mysteriously unspecified
Unnamed means not given a name or not identified by name.
An unnamed source in journalism is one whose identity the reporter protects.
Unnamed can also describe something that exists but hasn't been formally named: an unnamed species, an unnamed road.
The word sometimes suggests deliberate anonymity: The donor wished to remain unnamed.
