undiagnosable
Defying clinical detection
Undiagnosable describes a condition or problem that cannot be identified or classified despite examination.
A patient with undiagnosable symptoms has seen doctors who cannot determine what's wrong: She spent years with undiagnosable pain before a specialist finally identified the cause.
The term implies that diagnosis has been attempted and failed, not merely that no one has tried.
