Understimulated describes a state of receiving too little mental, sensory, or emotional input.
Someone understimulated feels bored, restless, or unfulfilled because their environment or activities don't engage them enough: The gifted kid was understimulated in regular classes.
Often used about children, employees, or anyone whose capabilities exceed their current demands.
