undersalting
Too little salt
Undersalting is adding too little salt to food, leaving it bland or flat-tasting.
The term appears in cooking instruction and criticism: Undersalting is the most common mistake home cooks make.
The opposite of oversalting, though undersalting is more easily corrected—you can always add salt, but you can't take it away.
