underflowing
Draining from beneath
Underflowing describes something flowing beneath or underneath: underflowing currents, underflowing groundwater.
In computing, underflow occurs when a calculation produces a number too small for the system to represent—the opposite of overflow.
An underflowing calculation yields this condition: The underflowing operation returned zero instead of the actual value.
