truth seeking
Hunting for reality
Truth seeking is the deliberate pursuit of accurate understanding, especially when it requires setting aside comfortable beliefs or convenient conclusions.
A truth-seeking person prioritizes getting things right over being right: The investigation demanded truth seeking, not confirmation of what we already suspected.
The term often appears in contexts where bias or self-interest might otherwise distort judgment.
