trust income

Fiduciary fund payments

Trust income is money generated by assets held in a trust—interest, dividends, rent, or other earnings distributed to beneficiaries.

Distinguished from trust principal (the underlying assets themselves), trust income typically goes to current beneficiaries while principal may be preserved for future ones: She lived on the trust income from her grandfather's estate.
