tripleheader
Three consecutive contests
A tripleheader is three games or events played in succession on the same day, extending the pattern of doubleheader.
Most common in baseball, where a team might play three games back-to-back due to scheduling complications: The rain delays forced a tripleheader on Saturday.
The term applies loosely to any trio of consecutive performances or competitions.
