triazine

Six-membered aromatic heterocycle

Triazine is a class of chemical compounds containing a six-membered ring with three carbon atoms and three nitrogen atoms.

The three isomers—1,2,3-triazine, 1,2,4-triazine, and 1,3,5-triazine—differ in how the nitrogen atoms are positioned.

Triazine derivatives appear widely in herbicides, dyes, and resins: atrazine and other triazine herbicides.
