trial transcript
Proceeding's written account
A trial transcript is the official written record of everything said during a court proceeding—testimony, objections, rulings, and arguments.
Court reporters produce transcripts from their stenographic notes.
Lawyers use them for appeals, and journalists quote from them: The trial transcript showed the witness had changed her story.
